My Congressman Called Me

Got home from work today to find a message from my Congressman on my answering machine. Just wondered if there was anything he could do for me. Too bad I wasn't here to tell him to stop being a dumbass and to stay away from the office supplies.

Of course, he probably knows I didn't vote for him. Why else would he call me on a Tuesday afternoon when his constituency is at work? Back when he was a state representative, I used to see this guy all the time sitting at Denny's, alone, in the middle of the night, drunk. I'm talking 1-2 times per week...and those are the times when I was there (I worked at a movie theater then until 10:30pm or later). How many times did he sit there for hours, not eating anything, when I wasn't there to see him? When you consider how bad he is at his job and how bad he is at living, I can't figure out how he keeps getting elected. Stay classy, Central Illinois!

A phone call from Mr. Paperclip himself? Now that is classy. It is not surprising that these calls are made at a time when most people will (presumably) be at work, and unable to give Ol' Timmer a piece of their mind. Or to even ask him how it is that he continues getting paid.
