Lorenzo Semple, Jr., a very good screenwriter of films terrific (PAPILLON) and not-so-terrific (KING KONG '76),
reminisces in VARIETY about developing the spectacularly successful BATMAN television series, which, for about a year, was the DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES of its time.
I'll take the '60's series over the dreary Christopher Nolan movies any day!
